Summary

Significance: Tudor Hall is significant both as one of the earliest and best examples of Gothic Revival in the state of Maryland and for its association with the Booth family. Shakespearean actor Junius Brutus Booth, father of other famous actors including Lincoln assassin John Wilkes Booth, built the house in 1847. The design was copied from William H. Ranlett's pattern book, The Architect.
