Persian Gulf (Mar. 30, 2005) Boatswain's Mate Seaman Gerren Boatner, assigned to Deck Department's Embroidery Shop, sews on a nametag of a uniform aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). The Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group is conducting operations in support of multi-national forces in Iraq and maritime security operations in the Persian Gulf.
