Blackfoot River Crossing Bridge, North Trail Canyon Road, approximately 12 miles northeast of Soda Springs, Soda Springs, Caribou County, ID

Significance: Very little is known about the construction of the Blackfoot River Bridge. What is known about the bridge is that it originally was used as a railroad bridge. The bridge was likely transported by train to the place where it is located today spanning the Blackfoot River. The bridge was most likely constructed during the early 1900's because it is similar to other pony truss bridges common throughout rural Utah and parts of Idaho that were constructed during this time period. The bridge is currently used as a vehicular bridge, which provides access for recreation, farming and ranching, and some local residents.
