Bettie Page was an American model who gained popularity in the 1950s for her pin-up photos and appearances in men's magazines. She was known for her distinctive look, which included jet-black hair, bangs and a playful, flirtatious expression. Page's images often showed her in lingerie, bikinis and other provocative outfits, and she became a symbol of the sexual revolution of the time. Page was born in Nashville, Tennessee in 1923 and grew up in a troubled home. She began modelling in her early 20s and quickly gained attention for her unique style and beauty. She posed for photographers such as Bunny Yeager and Irving Klaw, and her images were widely published in magazines and other media. In 1955, Page abruptly left the modelling world and became a born-again Christian. She later worked as a nurse and lived a quiet life until the 1990s, when her images resurfaced and enjoyed renewed popularity. Page's legacy as an icon of beauty and sexuality continues to inspire artists and performers today. Page died on 11 December 2008 at the age of 85.
