Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) Airman Leslie Smith, treats Cryptologic Technician Collection 3rd Class Laura Elmore's simulated compound fracture in the main battle dressing station, during a general quarters drill on board the amphibious transport dock ship USS New York (LPD 21). New York is part of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group with the embarked 24th Expeditionary Unit.
