Summary
Birds-eye view print shows map of the area around Münster in Westphalia (Germany) during a siege in 1661. After the Thirty Years' War, Münster attempted to rise to the rank of a free imperial city but loss to forces that took control of the city under Prince-Bishop Christopher Bernhard of Galen in March, 1661. Elements in print are labeled A-T descriptive key along left hand side of the print.
