Description: Oblique view northwestward across the Littrow Rille (Rimae Littrow) area of the eastern Sea of Serenity (Mare Serenitatis). A high Sun enhances the albedo contrast. Steep slopes in the highlands, crater walls and rays are much brighter than the normal mare materials in the centrals Sea of Serenity at teh top of the photograph. The ring of darker mare material an dthe still darker mantling material of the LIttrow region are near the highlands margin. Image was taken during Revolution 37 of the Apollo 15 mission. Original film magazine was labeled S,film type was 3414 (Low Speed Black and White),80mm lens with a sun elevation of 52 degrees. Approximate altitude was 111 km with a Principal Point Latitude 22.5 N by Longitude 26.0 E with a Camera Tilt of 60 degrees and an azimuth of 300 degrees.
