PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 11, 2008) An F/A-18C Hornet assigned to the "Stingers" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 113 flies above the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) before a final approach to make an arrested landing. The first aircraft carrier commissioned into the United States Navy was USS Langley (CV-1) on 20 March 1922.
