An Airman uses a protractor to calculate distance during a Pre Ranger Assessment Course, Feb. 10, 2018, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. The three-day assessment is designed to determine whether Airmen are ready to attend the Air Force Ranger Assessment Course held at Fort Bliss Army Post, Texas. Ranger cadre test Airmen’s physical fitness, tactical abilities, land navigation skills, leadership qualities, water confidence and academic ability to determine if they have the knowledge and will to become Rangers.
