Summary
Afghan girls wait to get their goats treated at a Veterinary Outreach Sustainment Program in Marawara District, Kunar province, Oct. 24. The provincial Afghan government conducted the program, in which local veterinarians provided no-cost veterinary services under the direction of the provincial veterinary officer. The Iowa National Guard's 734th Agribusiness Development Team provided financial support, quality control and security at the event, where the veterinarians treated nearly 200 goats, sheep and cattle.
