Description: View taken during the extravehicular activity (EVA) required to perform the repair of the Solar Maximum Mission (SMM) observatory in the aft end of the payload bay of the space shuttle Challenger. This view was taken during the second EVA performed on this mission. EVA2 mission specialist James van Hoften (left) and EVA1 mission specialist George Nelson in the darkened payload bay to repair the Solar Max.
