10 per cent railroad rate increase benefits motor carriers--ICC Commissioner Eastman. Washington, D.C., April 13. ICC Commissioner Joseph B. Eastman today told a Senate Interstate Commerce Subcommittee that he believed the 10 per cent rate increase granted the railroads last summer has been "Of more benefit to the motor carriers than to the railroads."
