Scope and content: This file unit consists of correspondence related to Portland Head Light received by Benjamin Lincoln and Henry Dearborn in their capacity as Superintendents of the Massachusetts Lighthouses. Included are correspondence from Treasury Secretaries Alexander Hamilton and Albert Gallatin, Revenue Commissioners Tench Coxe and William Miller, and Lighthouse Keepers Joseph Greenleaf and Barzillai Delano.
