Letter from John M. Beard to George M. Verity, 1918 October 10 - DPLA - 2a9ef7f591d6de89894e78274c103791 (page 2)
Zusammenfassung
This letter was written from John M. Beard, in France, to George M. Verity. Beard shares details of the powerful fighting Division to which his Section was recently attached. They are now on their way to a short repos, after a large-scale attack. Beard describes: a very difficult ambulance trip he made in the line of duty; varying opinions regarding when the end of the war will come; having a wonderful permission (leave) with Jack Horner in Aix-les-Bains, and running into a fellow "Armconian" while there; how good it is to have Al Preyer back, since he has been released from many months of hospitalization for pleurisy; and how appreciative he is of all of the ARMCO family and the Comforts Committee. This letter is a mimeographed reproduction. The original content of the letter was typed out and copied by ARMCO. Copies of this and other correspondence were then generally distributed to friends and family members of the ARMCO Ambulance Corps, and to ARMCO employees.
