Fieser Elementary School
Zusammenfassung
"Fieser Elementary School was constructed in 1873 on the southeast corner of West State Street and Starling Street. The original purchase price of the land was $1200 and the building cost $20,250. The school was named for Frederick Fieser, president of the Board of Education at that time. In 1891 the school was remodeled and expanded for $31,773. During the 1913 flood the water almost reached the second floor. The building was closed in January of 1953 and the students moved to the new Franklinton School located at 617 West State Street. The building was auctioned off to the neighboring Columbus Paper Box Company in January of 1956 for $23,400. The building was later demolished."
