Paul Reinhardt, commanding officer, USS Alabama (SSBN 731) (Blue), addresses Sailors, veterans and attendees during the annual Memorial Day "Tolling the Boats" ceremony at Deterrent Park on Naval Base Kitsap - Bangor. The "Tolling the Boats" ceremony commemorates submarines lost at sea which includes a total of 65 U.S. submarines that have been lost since 1915, with 52 lost during World War II alone.
